One of Ghana’s most innovative and inspirational sharing platforms, TEDx Accra, hosted Vodafone Ghana’s Chief Marketing Officer, Agnes Emefa Essah, among other distinguished speakers at this year’s TEDx Accra summit held under the theme “The Next Chapter”.
Mrs Essah, who shared her rich experience in the field of marketing with the august house, touched on how the country’s marketing industry can be innovative through the adaptation of technology to reach their target market. Acknowledging the changing trend in times in the industry where the power now resides in the hand of the customer, Ms Essah stressed the need for modern marketer to always liaise with online content managers to regularly stay in touch with customers for real time feedback; indicating Vodafone Ghana’s believe in the power of the customer hence the effective use of social media to engage its customers on a real time bases making it a leader in the use of social media.
Mrs Essah said she was convinced that the use of social media platforms by marketing professional in Ghana would go a long way to address the needs of customers and also stay in constant touch with them. She is also of the view that the role of traditional media should never be underestimated but rather its role should be complimented with the use of the various technological tools to meet the needs of consumers.
The TEDx Accra concept is to reflect ideas and inspire thinking of a new generation of African thinkers and leaders, presenting to an audience committed to engaging and reengaging in an active and meaningful manner with the continent.
