Customers trying to reach Western Union’s customer service line at Agriculture Development Bank in Ghana report growing frustration, as the line appears to be unattended.
The customer service line, which serves as the complaints, suggestion and enquiry line for almost a thousand Western Union customers using the ADB within the city of Accra, does not appear to be manned by any staff of the bank, let alone an automated answering machine.
Some customers of Western Union who use the Ring Road Branch of Agriculture Development Bank (ADB) for their remittances told Biztechafrica: “If you dial 233-302-227-551 which is boldly printed at the back of the transaction receipt, you will have the shock of your life as you can your phone ringing but no answer from the so called customer service centre.”
To their frustration, customers trying to solve Western Union transfer issues through ADB itself are directed to call the customer service number.
Strenuous efforts by Biztechafrica to reach the customer service department proved futile too, with repeated calls unanswered.
