Rwanda, Gabon Presidents in talks

By BiztechAfrica - Oct. 6, 2012, 12:04 p.m.Rwanda President Paul Kagame and Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of the Republic of Gabon, met in Kigali this weekend for talks on cooperation.
President Bongo is on a two-day working visit to Rwanda, during which has has visited the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), and met with senior management and toured key departments. Gabon's First Lady, Sylvia Bongo, visited the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center in the company of the Rwandan First Lady, Jeanette Kagame.
Rwanda and Gabon have had a framework of bilateral cooperation which was signed in 1976. The cooperation agreement was renewed in 2010 when the Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs led a delegation to Gabon, after President Ali Bongo visited Rwanda in September 2010, to attend both the MDGs consultative meeting and the inauguration ceremony of President Kagame.
