New app brings fashion hub to Ghana shoppers
A Ghana classified site has evolved to become a mobile fashion hub, Ahwenepa Fashion Niche, where shoppers can source strictly African fashion and lifestyle products.
The free Ahwenepa app is now a multi-vendor African fashion hub, where designers can showcase and sell their products.
The hub is the evolution of a classified site launched three years ago by Henry NiiAyi Cobblah and Araba Assafuaba Yelbert. Cobblah reports: “After we have dedicated our time to conduct market surveys, interactions as well as creating brand awareness and sales of products from designers, we realised that only 30% of sales in fashion are retained in Ghana while 70% goes to the Diaspora fashion designers, and that is a clear indication that there is are huge export opportunities for the fashion industry here at home. To save the situation, we at Ahwenepa Fashion Niche now provide a wide range of online marketing services to local designers. Our aim is to improve the lives of fashion designers and to create more jobs.”
The online market place is self-configured and allows vendors to set up online shops for free for a start, and eventually, on agreement, to pay between 10-12% on every sale made on the platform.
Buyers get options like Cash on Delivery, Quick Delivery & Easy Replacement. Also, the seller gets Instant Cash Payment & Maximum Return.
