ZICTA opens applications for ICT Innovation Programme
The Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) has invited Zambian youths aged between 18-35 years to submit applications for enrollment into a collaborative ICT innovation programme.
The programme is open to youths who have ICT innovations relating to any sector of the economy. The applications will be evaluated by an independent technical evaluation committee to facilitate entry into the innovation programme. A maximum of twenty (20) candidates or teams will be shortlisted to participate in the innovation programme. The innovation programme will be for a duration of to six months.
The enrolled candidates will receive support that will include:
•Business development support services;
•Technical development support
•Access to facilities such as internet, computers, mobile devices and other office equipment essential to enhance ICT innovations;
•Mentorship opportunities with identified industry experts and successful entrepreneurs;
•Business linkages with possible off-takers of the participants’ innovations;
•Linkages with potential financiers and equity partners; and
•Other services that could support the development of the idea into a viable business venture.
