Vodafone sweeps awards in two separate events

Vodafone Ghana is fast establishing an authoritative presence in the social media landscape across the country.

With digitisation now dictating the pace of every business and industry, a strong and innovative grip on the technological tools that have absorbed the world of work is necessary to win in the marketplace.

At the recently held Blogging Ghana Awards, organised by BloGHAwards, Vodafone swept two key awards – Best Facebook page and Organisation with Best Social Media Presence.

This further cements the company’s social media reputation; having previously won “Best Twitter page” and “Organisation with Best Social Media Presence” in 2015.

The ceremony, which took place at the Chartered Institute of Bankers’ Hall in Accra, recognised businesses and individuals who have distinguished themselves in the blogging and social media space across the country.

In all, the organisers assessed over 400 companies, organisations and individuals for various categories such as Best Blog, Best Blogger, Best Organizational Blog, Best YouTube, Best Public Official with Social Media presence, amongst others.

Commenting on the awards, Agnes Emefa Essah, Marketing Director at Vodafone Ghana said: “Social media has undoubtedly become a significant tool of interaction between organisations and their customers. We are excited that our customer engagements on such platforms as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter continue to generate the needed impact. As a forward-looking company, we will continue to construct creative and innovative ways to satisfy our customers.”

In a related development, Vodafone also bagged two awards at the Ghana Information Technology and Telecom Awards (GITTA) held in the capital. Vodafone was adjudged the best in Corporate Social Responsibility and Wholesale technology.
