Vodafone Ghana seeks input from stakeholders to better Vodafone Foundation 2016 strategy

As part of efforts to sync its social intervention strategies with the government of Ghana’s Sustainable Development Goals, Vodafone Ghana, through its foundation has held an all important stakeholders forum in Accra with key strategic partners to deliberate and seek inputs for its 2016 to 2020 strategy.

Delivering his welcome address, the Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Ghana Harris Broumidas said he believed it was about time Corporate Ghana led the way in the discussion of how the country’s numerous social problems could be addressed.

According to him the creation of a sustainable ecosystem was the sure way to go, stressing that without it the country would be faced with its old challenges.

The Vodafone boss acknowledged the immense contribution of Vodafone Foundation since its inception six years ago in Ghana and hoped that it can still do more in the delivery of quality social services for those in deprived conditions.

The Head of Vodafone Foundation, Nana Yaa Ofori Koree in an interview with Biztechafrica mentioned that Vodafone Foundation would focus much of its attention to the Sustainable Development Goals so as to sync the foundation’s strategy to match the government's goals hence a forum to discuss with stakeholders and seek their professional inputs to better Vodafone Foundation’s strategy with the aim of offering help to many people.

“We may not be doing Health and Education anymore, you never know. We are yet to strategize and once that is done we ll come out with sectors we are going to work in,” she said.
