Vodafone Ghana delights passengers on Christmas Eve

Subscribers of Vodafone Ghana in the Greater Accra area, especially those travelling to visit friends and loved ones outside the city, received a surprise treat from Vodafone while boarding their buses at their various bus terminals in Accra this festive season.
Officials of Vodafone who were at these bus terminals used the occasion to pay for the transport fares of passengers who are Vodafone subscribers. Additionally, customers on the bus were provided with ice cream products from Fan Milk Company together with a bottle of water.
Vodafone customers spotted receiving such a treat from official of Vodafone at the Kaneshie/ Takoradi and Neoplan Bus Terminal couldn’t hide their joy and excitement as they all looked on with surprise.
In an exclusive interview with Biztechafrica, the Head for Mass Customers at Vodafone Ghana, Marti Obeng Adjei, noted how Vodafone as a brand cares for its customers hence the move to delight and surprise them during the Christmas festivities with the payment of their bus fares at the various terminals.
The Vodafone surprise treat dubbed “Akwantuo ay3 free” meaning ‘Travelling made free’ which lasted for a day was able to assist over two thousand Vodafone customers to travel to their respective hometowns free of charge.
Mr.Obeng Adjei believes that with the successive nature of the programme in the Greater Accra Region, Vodafone will continue with the programme in other regions in the future.
“For the kind of response we are getting today and the cheer, the joy we have seen of the faces of our customers, I think it is something we are going to continue, it’s a novelty and the first time of doing this so we definitely continue to reach out to more people,” he said.
