Two weeks left to enter Africa Connected

There are two weeks left in which to enter the Google Africa Connected competition, offering five winners a prize of $25,000 each.

The competition is seeking the most inspiring stories from across Africa, about how people are using the web and technology to do cool and extraordinary things to overcome hurdles and transform lives.

Google reports that from Madagascar to Morocco, from big metropoles to rural villages, from photographers to community activists, hundreds of submissions have been received so far.

Five of the most inspiring stories will each receive a $25,000 Africa Connected prize, as well as, expert assistance from "Google Experts" to help make their success even greater.

Africa Connected aims to be the first and largest collection of inspiring stories about Africans that are achieving social and economic impact by adopting the web. Additionally, the Africa Connected platform is also an educational platform that offers resources for web users from around the world to learn about what more they can do on the web with Google.
