Tecno Nigeria back in business
Tecno Telecoms Limited office have been reopened, following an NCC clampdown last week.
Hong Kong-based phone maker Tecno Telecoms Limited had its Ikeja offices sealed last week over failure to get the correct approvals on some of its handsets.
Tecno says it has begun the approval process on those handsets that did not carry the correct certifications.
The company’s Deputy General manager, Chidi Okonkwo, gave the assurance that the company remained committed to delivering top quality handsets to market.
Tecno phones lead the Nigerian dual SIM handset market, and is seeing strong uptake across Africa. In 2010, the brand was listed as one of the top three mobile phone brands in Africa, and in 2011, it received the Ghana Customer service Award.
