Switzerland, Mozambique sign funding agreement
The governments of Mozambique and Switzerland have signed a funding agreement to the value of 32 million francs, the equivalent of one billion Meticais.
The agreement will support the implementation of the Action Plan for the Reduction of Poverty over the next four years. Switzerland will also provide two million francs to continue its support of a programme of reform in the Tax Authority of Mozambique.
Swiss support will boost health, education, training and the upgrading of information systems and communication. The Ambassador of Switzerland in Mozambique, Theresa Adam, said his country remains committed to support the Mozambican government in its efforts to reduce poverty and promote human development and creating an environment for growth and inclusive development.
