Students tour rlg assembly plant
50 students from Valley View University in Ghana have toured the Assembly Plant of rlg Communications at Osu in Accra.
The visit afforded the students, most of whom were Computer Science students, the opportunity to learn at first hand, the processes involved in assembling mobile phones, computers and other ICT devices.
The visit also forms part of rlg’s Corporate Social Responsibility programmes, aimed at exposing the youth in general and students in particular to opportunities offered by ICT.
The students first visited rlg’s ultra-modern showroom, where they were conducted round by Yvonne Hammond, Head of Showroom and explained the unique functions of products on sale including the company’s latest product, the Uhuru.
They also toured the mobile phone and computer assembling lines after briefings by Head of Laptop Production, Fred Nanor as well as the Head of Phone Production respectively.
