Sierra WiFi registration underway
Sierra WiFi, taking WiFi connectivity to cities and towns across Sierra Leone, is adding to its user base following its official launch last month.
The project, in collaboration with the government of Sierra Leone and international partners, is taking world class WiFi data services across the country, with free WiFi zones in schools and various public areas. As part of the project, ICTs and connectivity will be rolled out to schools.
Anthony Melhem, President of World Affinity Telecom, noted: "The People of Sierra Leone have expressed overwhelming enthusiasm for the national deployment of low cost, high speed Wifi internet access and that has been our driving force.”
Sierra WiFi was established in Sierra Leone in 2012, under Canada’s World Affinity Telecom. Its network is supported by Edgewater Wireless' next generation WiFi3 equipment.
