Satellite broadband is the way of the future - IS

The Regional Managing Director of IS (Internet Solutions), Yvette Atekpe, has revealed that satellite broadband is the way of the future.
She attributed her comment to the recent increasing demand for universal and affordable internet access by customers who on a constant basis look out for the best technology to meet their needs and requirements for reliability.
Speaking during the launch of a partnership agreement reached between IS and Konnect Africa at the plush Kempinski Hotel in Accra, Madam Atekpe during acknowledged Konnect Africa as a trustworthy partner who will be joining forces with IS to roll out broadband services through satellite technology in Ghana.
The Chief Executive Officer of Konnect Africa, Jean-Claude Tshipama in his remarks at the launch also reiterated his company’s vision to enable universal coverage for all populations not only to Ghana but to the rest of Africa. He said with a strong internet coverage people across the continent can then leverage the full potential of digital connectivity – to access information, grow businesses and boost economic development.
IS (Internet Solutions) intends to create more jobs as the satellites for the broadband will need to be installed for the various consumers and promised that installers will be provided with specific training and incentives to further improve the quality of services and motivation.
IS says it will be using its expertise in service delivery and customer support to pivot off Konnect Africa’s state-of-the-art satellite infrastructure with the aim of providing broadband connectivity to urban, rural and the most remote locations in Ghana.
