A male nurse working at Dzaleka Refugee Camp Health Centre in the central region district of Dowa has emerged the 12th winner of K1m in the on-going Airtel Malawi Tisangalale 50 promotion which has been set up to coincide with the country’s 50thindependence celebrations.
The lucky winner, John Peter Shirakumatima, expressed happiness upon being told of his fortune.
“This is a perfect wedding gift to me because I have just gotten married within a couple of weeks,” said the 34-year-old Shirakumatima when called on Wednesday.
Airtel’s Public Relations Manager, Edith Tsilizani, who presided over the draw, said she was delighted to perform the 12th weekly prize presentation of the company’s on-going Tisangalale promotion.
“The prize we are to present this afternoon is a result of the eleventh draw which was conducted last week Tuesday right here in this very room,” she said.
“At Airtel, we are committed to delighting our customer’s week in week out through various exciting promotional prizes. At Airtel we are serious about transforming lives of our customers especially during this independence celebratory period our country is going through.” she added.
The mobile company, she said believes in empowering people and creating positive impact by offering innovative and relevant solutions.
“Airtel desires to provide some financial freedom amongst its customers. All people have to do to realize their goal is by simply being on the right network,” said Tsilizani.
The ongoing Tisangalale 50 promotion she said has boosted their interaction with their subscribers apart from increasing acquisition and accessibility of their products in general.
“Although our focus is to delight our customers and alleviate them from economic hardships, we have noted with keen interest that our subscribers’ trend in topping up airtime and talk time during this promotion increased and continue to surge,” Tsilizani.
On when the grand finale draw will be held, she said it is neither here nor there but what she knows is that sooner or later they shall conduct the final draw for the promotion.
“The most exciting thing about this grand draw is that there will be one big winner in that one draw, who will unbelievably cart home a cool K50 million! I know for sure that we are all looking forward to that moment. Well, only time will tell,” she said.
