Nigerian telcos to pay fines
Nigeria’s NCC reports that mobile operators have agreed to pay the fines imposed on them last month.
The telcos were fined a total of over USD7 million for failing to meet service standards in a recent audit. Their fines were due on 21 May, but delays occurred as operators sought talks on factors hampering effective service delivery.
NCC spokesman Tony Ojobo said the operators would pay the fines within the next week.
