New technologies ‘contribute to economic growth’
The use of new technologies contributes to the economic growth of a country, because they allow permanent contact between citizens and access to Information, says Angola’s Secretary of State for Telecommunications, Aristides Safeca.
The Secretary of State was speaking at the opening of the third Expo TIC in Luanda, this year featuring the theme "Our services in Cloud and Mobility of citizens, present and future challenges in accessibility, availability and quality". He said the new information networks would enable the government to determine who used new technologies and how they were used.
Angola’s Minister of Telecommunications, José da Rocha, said at the expo that the time was ripe for the sharing of ideas, networking and interaction to support the use of ICTs as a key element in the sustainable development of Angola.
