LogRhythm and Mideast Communication Systems (MCS) announced their new partnership to the International press yesterday in Cairo. The partnership, to Deliver Cybersecurity Solutions Across the Middle East and Africa, will enable more public and private sector organizations in these regions to detect, assess and mitigate cybersecurity threats in real-time and proactively protect users.

LogRhythm, empowering security operations centers (SOCs), and Mideast Communication Systems (MCS), a value-added distributor in the Middle East and Africa, have partnered to deliver security information and event management (NextGen SIEM) solutions to organisations across the Middle East and East Africa.

MCS operates in 10 East African countries at the moment with an office in Nairobi and in forming this partnership will be able to expand further by reaching more countries which have a demand for SIEM software.

LogRhythm, which serves 4000 customers globally, operates across six continents and enables organisations to successfully reduce risk by rapidly detecting, responding to and neutralizing cyberthreats. The LogRhythm platform combines user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA), network traffic and behavior analytics (NTBA) and security automation, orchestration and response (SOAR) in a single end-to-end solution.

“As digital transformation accelerates across the Middle East and Africa, organisations need a secure foundation for adopting new applications and services. Our partnership is focused on helping more organisations manage their risk, reduce complexity and benefit from a ‘security first’ approach,” said Mazen A. Dohaji, Vice President, India, Middle East, Turkey & Africa (iMETA) at LogRhythm. “This is an opportunity to provide cybersecurity in some of the most rapidly digitizing markets in the world.”

MCS will offer LogRhythm’s NextGen SIEM platform to its new and existing customers across the Middle East and 10 eastern and central African countries. It combines cybersecurity solutions with its suite of SD-WAN, cloud enablement, automation, data management and other enterprise IT solutions. LogRhythm will provide the MCS team with technical training in its platform to ensure seamless delivery for customers.

“Cybersecurity is a core pillar of our offering and it adds value to all of the other solutions that we deliver,” said, Mr Ali Azzam, Director of Sales at MCS. “We partnered with LogRhythm because of its proven technology as well as its commitment to partners and end customers.”

Headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, MCS has built a track record of enabling the success of its customers across multiple African markets. In 2020, MCS launched a permanent office in Nairobi to manage MCS operations in eastern and central Africa. In 2023, MCS plans to serve most of the African continent with on the ground presence.
