MTN welcomes Group President and CEO Mupita to Ghana for for the third time
Ghana leading network operator, MTN has welcome its group President and Chief Executive Officer, Ralph Tendai Mupita to Accra, Ghana. Mr. Mupita whose visit to the country for the third time within eight months following his first official visit in October 2020 was announced on MTN Ghana’s official Twitter page.
“Welcome to Ghana Mr. Ralph Mupita – MTN Group President & CEO,” the tweet reads.
Details about the visit
Currently, little is known about the reason behind Mr. Mupita’s visit to the country for the second time as President and CEO of MTN Group since he assumed the role on September 1, 2020, and it's likely that officials at MTN Ghana will like to keep the visit on a low profile level so as not draw undue media attention to his itinerary.
However, during his first official visit to Ghana late last year, the Group President and CEO joined the Vice President for South Eastern Africa and Ghana (SEAGHA), Mr. Ebenezer Asante, Board Chairman of MTN Ghana, Dr. Ishmael Yamson, and Group Chief Regulatory & Corporate Affairs Officer Ms. Felleng Sekha, and the Corporate Services Executive of MTN Ghana to meet with the Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia and Former President John Kufuor, a member of the MTN Group International Advisory Board.
They also held meetings with the Ministers of Communications and Finance.
