MTN warned over service quality

The Nigerian Communications Commission, in an ongoing battle to ensure better telecoms quality of service, has warned MTN to improve its quality of service or face sanctions.

This follows days of service interruptions experienced by MTN subscribers in Lagos and surrounding areas.

The NCC said MTN had failed to inform subscribers about the problems – apparently caused by a faulty switch in Lagos – and instructed the telco to supply a report on the situation and what is being done to address the problem.
