MTN names new Liberia, Uganda CEOs
MTN has appointed Tebogo Mogapi as the CEO of Lonestar Cell MTN in Liberia.
Mogapi replaces Mazen Mroue, who was at the helm of the company for 14 months. Mogapi began his duties at the Corporation effective Friday, June 1, 2012.
Mroue has been moved to MTN Uganda to serve as CEO there.
With over 26 years of experience in the telecommunications and sales and marketing industry, Mogapi served as chief business sales officer at MTN South Africa. He joined MTN South Africa in 2000 as a corporate sales manager and has since worked in various positions at MTN Nigeria, MTN Swaziland and MTN SA. He has also served on several boards, including MTN Rwanda and MTN Zambia.
Mogapi says he looks forward to working with the Liberian Telecommunications Authority “in a constructive way that would help rebuild relationships and form new ones”.
