MTN Ghana adopts 2019 as the ‘Year of the Customer’

MTN Ghana has giving the over 20 million of its teeming subscribers across the length and breadth of Ghana the reason to be overly excited this year, as the leading network operator dedicates 2019 to put the Ghanaian customer first.
Led by Chief Executive Officer Selorm Adadevoh, 11 top executives of MTN Ghana pledged in unison to make the satisfaction of their customers a priority.
Adopting #WeDey4U as the new catch phrase for the ‘Year Of The Customer 2019’, customers of MTN Ghana will soon be enjoying a highly efficient network connectivity compared to non in the industry, following an investment of over USD 160 million into network technology and IT systems, extended technology leadership through LTE Advanced, 4+, rolling out of over 900 4G LTE sites, 277 3G sites and 450 2G sites, among others.
Explaining the rationale behind the new catch phrase for 2019 at the just ended Stakeholders Forum held in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, Selorm Adadevoh noted how he and his team have identified new opportunities to do more for our customers especially in the area of service delivery in term of products and services.
“In terms of the year of the customer, our catch phrase is #WeDey4U. We want to see the world as our customers do. And one of the things you talk of the year of the customer is to put ourselves into the shoes of the customer and really understand what they are experiencing and how we can incorporate that experience into our delivery, that really what the year of the customer means and that’s the starting point,” he revealed.
A key highlight of the ‘Customer centric’ era is the soon to be launched MTN TurboNet router, a plug and play internet router, which comes with high powered external antenna and data SIM, which enables it to deliver fast internet in the company’s 4G locations. TurboNet provides instant high speed internet for up to 32 users at the same time.
The CEO emphasized the importance of achieving technology excellence, saying it was the driving force for achieving the right efficiencies across the spectrum to serve the customer’s needs.
As part of the company’s smartphone drive, Mr. Adadevoh said, the KaiOs Smart feature phone would be launched in this quarter; while various MTN apps, focused on self-care, music and messaging, would also be launched to enable customers to enjoy easy access to services.
Data, Digital, Mobile Financial Services and Voice products , he said, are expected to remain the drivers of the company, which now has more than 20 million customers, and made a profit of more than GHC1 billion last year.
With a pledge from the entire top executives of the company to always put the customer first, Ghanaian subscribers are assured of excellent customer service delivery at all time on their network.
