MTN gets 3G license in Guinea

MTN has been awarded a license in Guinea after signing a concession agreement with the regulator, L’Autorite de Regulation des Postes et Telecommunications (ARPT).
The telco, MTN Areeba, described the license as a huge opportunity that would allow it to align itself with its vision to offer a digital world to its customers.
The CEO of MTN Guinea, Phumzile Joshua Phike, said the company aimed to have coverage over a large number of sites by March 2014.
