Mozambique, Malawi, in cooperation talks

Mozambican President Armando Guebuza and his Malawi counterpart Joyce Banda, have held official talks on the strengthening of relations between their countries.

Meeting in Lilongwe, the two statesmen discussed issues aimed at strengthening the cordial relations and signed several agreements and memoranda recommending the increase of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields. 

The agreements covered the interconnection of the countries’ electricity grids, and increased cooperation between the two countries in the fields of science and technology as well as a memorandum on security and immigration.
