Malawi eager to get hands on Galaxy S4

Users of Samsung Galaxy phones in the country are anxiously awaiting the launch of the new Galaxy S4 phone in Malawi next month, saying they do not want to be left behind.
An insurer, Victarata Zungwala, says he cannot wait to use an updated version of Galaxy as at the moment he is using a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2.
"These days if you are left behind by a minute in the technological advancement, it can take you ages to catch up and while I wished the launch of new products are done at the same time, I can only understand that size of markets perhaps also matter," he said.
Malawi's Samsung representative IT Centre says although Samsung Electronics announced the introduction of the fourth generation Galaxy S4 last Wednesday, it was not possible to be available in Malawi.
"The Galaxy S4 was launched for the region in South Africa last week, but the device will be on sale in Malawi only in the first week of May," Ralph Chienda Marketing Representative for IT Centre told The Daily Times.
Samsung Electronics announced that the Galaxy S4 was developed to redefine the way people live and to maximise people's fulfilment in life.
In Malawi, although the official launch is scheduled for May, some people who travel outside the country regularly have pledged to bring the device for sale long before its official presence in the country.
