Lonestar passes 1m, launches foundation
Liberia’s Lonestar Cell MTN has marked its tenth anniversary by passing the million subscriber mark and launching a CSR Foundation.
Company CEO Mazen Mroue said the company’s growth had seen it gather a million subscribers, upgrade its networks and expand to cover 162 locations.
The company highlighted its Lonestar Cell MTN Foundation, which will coordinate community development projects. Among its key focus areas will be healthcare and the empowerment of women and the youth through education.
A 21 days of Y’ello care programme will be launched by staff on 1 June as part of the Foundation’s work.
