Lady farmer wins BTC Toyota Land Cruiser
A Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Limited (BTCL) Customer received a car worth 400K, (about $40 000) from the organisation for her unwavering loyalty. As a way of Contributing to the socio- economic development of the country and its clients BTC invited customers to participate in a programme that eventually sees lucky customers walking away with vehicles.
This 381 horse- power machine, brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser over P 400 000.00 is the second to be won in the competition so far.
The loyal customer, Ms Tawana Professor a farmer from Shashe-Mooke participated in the BTC Recharge to win Competition.“For one to participate in this competition they have to recharge with BTC airtime worth P30 or more using BTC channels such as Vouchers, Virtual channels, Bank Top up, Nthope, Mobile APP and SMEGA. The higher the recharge frequency, the higher the chances of one walking away with prizes.”
Handing over the car, in the presence of the area MP responsible for Gaborone Central, Tumisang Mangwegape-Healey, the BTC Managing Director (A), Aldrin Sivako said BTC celebrating 40 years of progress and anchoring the National economy, would not have made any progress had it not been for its stakeholders especially its valued customers.
‘It is for this reason that as we celebrate our 40th anniversary and our accomplishments over the years that we pause and acknowledge those who have made us who we are. It brings us great joy at BTC to change the lives of our customers and contribute to the socio-economic development of our country.

The competition winner Professor was excited after winning the brand-new vehicle, stating that she was not anticipating it and that the Land Cruiser will help her carry out farming activities, “I am so excited and still can’t believe that I have won. I will now be able to run my business errands smoothly especially at the farm”, she said.
The telco giant which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, has already handed over two of the three cars to its loyal customers. The first car, a Toyota Corolla Hatch was won by Dan Kapeko in June this year.
Customers still stand a chance to win a Toyota Legend 50 and weekly cash prizes of up to P4000.00.
