Judging underway in Enablis Business Plan contest
The top 100 finalists of Kenya’s Enablis Business Plan Competition have been named, and judging is now underway.
The competition, launched late last year, is aimed at nurturing new and existing entrepreneurs. Winners are expected to be announced shortly.
The Safaricom Foundation said in a statement it had presided over the judging and had supported the competition with a Sh4million grant.
The competition is a platform for Kenyans with outstanding businesses or ideas to showcase their innovations through written business plans.
Safaricom Foundation Trustee Les Baillie noted that the competition will give entrepreneurs an insight to achieve their goals, promote entrepreneurship and ultimately better the country’s economy.
“The shifts that we have been observing in market dynamics over the last decade, have indeed taught us many things. But one that stands out on an occasion like this is that we cannot succeed unless we radically change how we do things. We must innovate,” he said.
