Israeli University to boost Botswana S&T
Israel’s Ben Gurion University will partner with the new Botswana International University of Science & Technology (BIUST) on teaching and research into technology for drylands and deserts.
BIUST, officially opened late last year in the Tswapong Hills, south-east of Palapye in the Central District, is now accepting applications for 2013. BIUST is committed to widening national, regional and international opportunities for higher education in science, engineering and technology, as well as providing opportunities in applied research.
In line with an agreement signed recently at Ben-Gurion University in Beersheba between University President Prof. Rivka Carmi and Acting Vice Chancellor of Botswana International University of Science and Technology Steven Howell, Ben-Gurion University will be in charge of the fields of teaching and research at the new university.
