ICT training for 150 Ghana youths
150 Ghanaian youths will be trained in BPO skills as part of a new ITES work readiness programme.
Ghana’s IT-enables services secretariat (ITES) will implement the programme through a USD882 000 grant from the US-based Rockerfeller Foundation. The grant was made as part of the Foundation’s Foundation's Poverty Reduction through Information and Digital Employment (PRIDE) Initiative.
PRIDE is working to create employment for poor and vulnerable people in Africa by establishing meaningful jobs in the ICT sector.
The objective of ITES/BPO Work Readiness Programme is to create impact in the lives of poor and vulnerable youth by enhancing their opportunities for gainful employment in the growing ITES/BPO industry in Ghana.
