Ghana Investment event seeks FDI
The first Euromoney Ghana Finance and Investment Conference will be staged in Accra next week.
The event, hosted by Euromoney with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning of Ghana, will bring together policymakers, businessmen, financiers and key overseas investors, and will highlight Ghana’s attractions as an FDI destination.
Speaking ahead of the event, Dr Kwabena Duffuor, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, called on foreign financiers to invest in the country’s modernized and diversified economic sector.
He described Ghana’s oil, gas, minerals and cocoa sectors as attractive for foreign investment.
Dr Duffuor noted that the government was focused on developing the oil and gas industry and to bridge the huge gap that existed in roads, rails, energy, information communication technology (ICT) and health facilities.
The conference will be held on 7 – 8 February at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra.
