Fifteen counties targeted in AccessKenya network expansion
AccessKenya says more counties have come on stream as the company rolls out its network expansion plan.
In a statement, the company said: “This year, we kicked off our concerted network expansion strategy with a target of connecting five new counties in this first quarter of 2014. We are glad to note that already the counties of Kisii and Isiolo have come on stream over the last one month in our bid to hasten the roll-out of localized but world class ICT solutions to every county.”
This is in addition to the seven counties, namely Kakamega, Kericho, Machakos, Murang’a, Kiambu, Embu and Meru, brought onto the national grid. AccessKenya is now also in the towns of Maua and Laare in the fast growing Meru County.
AccessKenya says it appreciates that each county has unique ICT needs, so it plans to work with county governments in making this a reality and we hope that by the end of this quarter we shall add three more counties.
