Djezzy valuation due this month
A valuation report is expected this month on Algerian mobile operator Djezzy.
The Algerian government will buy a 51% stake in the operator in terms of an agreement with Vimpelcom.
Vimpelcom, pressured to sell the stake to the government, has valued it at around USD8 billion, while the government’s assessment of the stake value is reported to be far lower.
Telecommunications Minister Moussa Benhamadi says the law firm appointed to advise on the valuation was expected to make its report known by the end of March.
