Cable thieves knock out Madina comms
Vodafone Ghana says a major cable theft incident has cut services to subscribers in the Madina area.
Vodafone said 1km of copper cable has been stolen from the network between Adenta Trotro station and SSNIT flats junction at the weekend.
This meant fixed voice and internet services were not available to approximately 450 Vodafone consumers and business customers in Madina.
Vodafone said it was working hard to restore service but that it may take up to three weeks for a full service to be resumed.
Vodafone urged community members to call the police on 18555 or Vodafone customers to call 155 from their handsets to report any suspicious cable activity or if they have any information on cable theft.
