Biztechafrica marks first birthday, the business news site for Africa’ s ICT sector, marks its first birthday on 1 June.

The site, launched by a handful of ICT media players scattered across Africa, was founded with a vision of becoming the voice of Africa’ s ICT sector.

Launched with no reserve funds and little more than a dream of filling a massive gap in the market, is a typical African ICT success story in the making. It has been run and updated daily by a team of dedicated journalists and media players who have never met in person.

Our communications and news updates happen via mobile and e-mail, 24/7, in line with the industry we serve. Development has taken place on the fly, with the site live before it was stable and tested.

But our faith in the enthusiasm and dedication of ICT journalists across Africa is proving well founded. With its reader base growing daily, is proving that there is indeed a need for an authoritative news hub for Africa’ s ICT sector.

We thank our dedicated team for their tireless work, and our rapidly-growing base of loyal readers, who access our daily news updates via landline and mobile from every corner of Africa.

We reiterate our promise to grow into the only source of ICT news the continent needs; showcasing Africa’ s ICT innovations to the rest of the world, driving investment into the continent and helping take access and business opportunities to our deserving fellow Africans.

Keep the news coming – we look forward to growing with you, our compatriots in the ICT sector, as we prove that Africa is an ICT innovation force to be reckoned with.
