Barclays Bank powers toward better internet banking

Barclays Bank Zambia is investing around USD2.5 million over the next five years to upgrade its internet banking services.

The bank says it is committed to expanding its banking channels, and aims to make internet banking widely available to customers for free.

During the past year, the bank has also introduced electronic services such as SMS alerts, mobile banking and electronic statements.

Recently, it was announced that Cellulant, had sealed a deal to provide digital services for Barclays Africa across its key markets in Africa.

As part of its, ‘One Africa’ strategy, Barclays Africa has now teamed up with Cellulant to make its customer digital experience - mobile and internet banking as well as ATMs -more convenient for customers across its 12 African countries, by deploying a new aggregator platform.
