Airtel Ghana appoints new Head of Corporate Communications

Airtel Ghana has announced the appointment of Richard Ahiagble as the company’s Head of Corporate Communications effective 1st September 2015.
In a statement available to Biztechafrica the Changemaker telecomgiant indicates that Mr Ahiagble will lead the development and implementation of the company’s communications, reputation management, media and stakeholder engagement strategy.
The company’s release states “Richard, an astute communicator joins Airtel from Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd (GGBL) and its parent company, Diageo with a breadth of knowledge and experience in Corporate and Brand Communications, media management, Public Policy and CSR. Prior to his appointment, he headed the Sustainability team at GGBL responsible for strategy and communications for the company’s Sustainabilityagenda. Prior to that, he was with the Diageo Africa Corporate Relations team based in London with responsibility for driving Communications and CSR strategy for the Africa Region”.

Richard is an accredited Public Relations professional with a first degree in Psychology from the University of Ghana, Legon, a diploma [post graduate level] in Public Relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), UK and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the University of Ghana Business School.
