Agambire named UT Ghana Entrepreneur of the Year
The Chairman of AGAMS Holdings, Roland Agambire, has won the overall Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Third UT Ghana Entrepreneur Awards in Accra.
The awards ceremony was to honour outstanding Ghanaian and non-Ghanaian entrepreneurs for their contributions towards economic growth and job creation. The awards ceremony was on the theme: "Celebrating Entrepreneurship the Engine of Economic Growth".
Other award winners were Saled Fakhry, Chairman of Interplast Ghana Limited – Lifetime Entrepreneurial Achievement; Brian Maxted, CEO of Kosmos Energy – Best International Entrepreneur; Charles Yao Mensah, Executive Chairman of Myroc Group of Companies – Outstanding Entrepreneur Achievement and Kate Quartey-Papafio, CEO of Reroy Cables Limited – Best Woman Entrepreneur.
Agambire expressed appreciation for the honour bestowed on him and called for investments into research and development for Ghanaian entrepreneurs to build innovative products and brands that could compete on the international platform.
