Zim receiver in mobile tax pilot

Zimbabwe’ s Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) has embarked on yet another high-tech project to upgrade its service delivery and tax collection processes.
ZIMRA’ s latest ICT project is a pilot on mobile tax processes for cross-border traders. Allan Saruchera, ZIMRA’ s Head of IT services, said the Authority plans to introduce mobile taxing through SMS messages, to speed up border clearances of goods.
He noted that ZIMRA aimed to move with times.
In line with this goal, ZIMRA also recently upgraded its ICT infrastructures and
adopted electronic media information campaigns.
