Zambian delegation to African education summit

By BiztechAfrica - July 29, 2012, 8:26 a.m.Zambian Education Minister John Phiri will lead a delegation of Zambian officials to attend an innovation summit in Cape Town, South Africa in October.
Phiri will join other African Ministers of Education and Technology from Burundi, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Mozambique, and Rwanda.
The Summit will present an opportunity for Phiri to present his ministry's progress on policies and implementation after one year in office before an international audience.
The Innovation Africa Summit, scheduled for October 5-7 in Cape Town, is arranged by AfricanBrains and co-sponsored by the University of the Western Cape.
Among others, the event will focus on ICTs for education, e-learning and m-learning, multimedia content, virtual universities and communications for increasing connectivity and bandwidth.
