Yu seeks mobile money growth

Yu, owned by Essar Telecom Kenya, has seen steady growth in Kenya, with over 1.6 million subscribers and more talk time in use.
Yu also offers a mobile money transfer service, Yu Money.
However, the mobile operator is reported to be hoping for Safaricom to open its hugely popular M-Pesa service to other networks, saying mobile number portability has been hampered because subscribers do not want to lose their mobile banking connections.
