UTL says outage was technical
Uganda Telecom Ltd (UTL) says its network problems last week were due to technical issues, and did not relate to any debts owed to other telcos.
UTL said in a statement that services have been restored after an outage that affected some customers last week.
UTL said the outage had affected voice services, but not SMS.
It said: “Uganda Telecom values it customers deeply and regrets any inconvenience this may have caused. Uganda Telecom wishes to reassure its Post-Pay customers, Fixed Line, Fixed data, Internet and Enterprise customers that there was no adverse effect on their services.
