Uganda MTN tax row to court

A dispute over a tax liability involving MTN Uganda is to be heard in court.

The Uganda revenue Authority charges that MTN is liable for Shs136 billion in taxes between 2003 and 2007, but MTN disputes this.

Reports today indicated that arbitration in the matter will be heard on 15 February.

Both the URA and MTN declined to comment on the matter at this stage.
