ICT solutions service provider Techno Brain has, for the third time in a row, beaten 3,000 entrants worldwide from 640,000 Microsoft partners, to win the 2012 Microsoft Country Partner of the Year Award for its Malawi and Tanzania operations.

Kheliwe Murimu, Group Public Relations Manager of Techno Brain, says the ICT firm has always excelled in the sector.

“This has been through our excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology,” she said.

A statement issued after the award quotes Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Group Vice President, Jon Roskill, hailing Techno Brain for the award saying it has demonstrated commitment to innovation and customer care.

Techno Brain’s Group Chief Executive Officer, Manoj Shanker, said being recognised by Microsoft as the Country Partner of the year was a remarkable achievement for Techno Brain.

“And this year, it is not just one location that has made us proud,” he said, referring to the operations both in Tanzania and Malawi winning awards.

Roskill said: “…Our strong partnership is core to us winning together.”

Shanker agreed, saying their partnership with Microsoft over the years has driven them for the development and delivery of industry best products and solutions to provide better and value added services to their clients across the globe.

Techno Brain was recognised for providing outstanding solutions and services, as well as demonstrating excellent subsidiary engagement in Malawi.

At the 24th Malawi International Trade Fair in Blantyre in May, hosted by the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Techno Brain was the only ICT firm displaying its services and products.

At that time, Murimu had declared: “We are the ICT Company in this country that helps Malawi’s Immigration Department produce passports.”

She also boasted that Techno Brain is the only ISO certified ICT Company operating in Malawi.

Murimu noted that Techno Brain is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and a master franchisee of New Horizons Computer Learning Centre in Malawi.

Techno Brain has operations in 12 countries, including USA, India, Middle East and South Africa.
