SST, Zesco in USD5.6m deal

Zambia’s power utility, Zesco, has signed a USD5.6 million hardware deal with Kenya’s Seven Seas Technologies.
The Zambian parastatal, currently on a drive to boost its output across Zambia, has contracted Seven Seas to upgrade its Business Information Systems hardware, including servers, storage and backup equipment, and networking.
Zesco Managing Director Cyprian Chitundu said the upgrade was expected to improve Zesco operations, and in turn, improve customer service delivery.
