SPTC staff write to PM

Staff of the Swaziland Post and Telecommunications Coroporation (SPTC) have written to the Prime Minister amid fears that the dispute with MTN will threaten the company’s future.
MTN recently won its case against SPTC in the International Court of Arbitration over SPTC’s selling mobile services in contravention of their JV agreement. MTN then noted that it could sue SPTC for lost revenue.
SPTC has begun switching off its ONE mobile services in line with the ruling.
The Secretary General of the SPTC Staff Association, Mcebo Sigudla, said the staff would petition the Prime Minister to ask him to intervene to resolve the matter.
