Shortlist reached for new CCK head
GOVERNMENT| July 9, 2012, 2:16 p.m.
The Communications Commission of Kenya (CCK) has shortlisted six candidates for the post of Director General.
The position has been vacant since late last year, when the High Court ruled that the re-appointment of DG Charles Njoroge was irregular. Francis Wangusi has been acting as DG in the interim.
Wangusi’s name has been included in the shortlist handed to the regulator’s board for consideration as a permanent appointment.
Also on the list, selected from 47 candidates, are Juma Kandie, director of human resources; and John Omo, commission secretary and legal head. The names of the three other candidates have not been released.
