Seacom back up after downtime

By BiztechAfrica - Feb. 8, 2012, 3:49 p.m.The Seacom undersea cable is fully operational again, after downtime this week.
Seacom said in a statement that all its customer circuits between Abu Talat (Egypt) and Marseilles (France) were back up and stable by Wednesday 8 February. Seacom said it would continue to monitor the situation and provide feedback as required.
The cable’s last major downtime was in October 2011, when a problem was also experienced on the connection between Egypt and France, causing disrupted service for several days.
