Safaricom to launch SIM back-up

Safaricom is set to launch a new service allowing subscribers to back up information on their SIM cards.
The new ‘Okoa SIM’ service will back up all the information on SIM cards in the cloud, allowing subscribers to retrieve all their important contacts and other information if their phones are damaged or lost.
Safaricom employees have been testing the service in a pilot project and the company is set to launch the service to market next month.
