Rwanda mobile subscribers up 3%

According to the latest statistics issued by the regulator, the Rwanda Utilities regulatory Agency (RURA), subscriber numbers rose from 4,619,429 at the end of May to 4,759,310 at the end of June this year.
RURA’s figures indicate that the mobile penetration rate in the country now stands at 44.4%. MTN leads the market with 3,033,421 active subscribers; followed by Tigo with 1,615,585 and Airtel with 11,304.
